My top 10 2009 fashion trends

These are trends that I have seen the most people wearing and they are also my favorite for this year. Some of them are sure to stick through 2010, but some I highly doubt. My favorite thing about this list is that many of the trends were already trends, all dating from the 70's-90's. There are also a few new ones, like the military style wear. If we don't see these trends in 2010, we are sure to see them again in the future at another time!

10.) DARK BLUE DENIM JEANS
The perfect classic look for this year! These are my favorite pair of jeans!
9.) COLORFUL OUTFITS
The walking rainbow has become very popular. Earth tone colors seemed to have died out this year!

8.) Military shirts
Finally, something new this year. We've seen these shirts on everyone! Jackets are now even made in this style!

7.) PLAID
Everyone was wearing it! Shirts, shorts, and scarves were all plaided out! Though this seemed to be very popular in 2009, I'm going to make the prediction that this trend time is running out.

6.) BIG GLASSES
This is the ideal of the 70's meeting the new millennium! These glasses rocked 2009!

5.)BOAT SHOES
They were everywhere in the summer and fall! If you look closely, they are still been worn in winter. Who needs boots when you have boats!

4.) HIGH TOP SNEAKERS
These shoes have been around since I was a kid, but 2009 was its year to shine!

3.) DESIGNER T-SHIRTS
T-shirts never looked so fly! A lot of people this year got rid of the casual look and kept it fashionably simple!

2.) CARDIGAN
What started off as the traditional old men sweater made a bold statement in 2009!

1.) PEACOAT
If fashion had a first name, I'm pretty sure its name would be Peacoat! These traditional coats can be seen on everybody, the very young and the very old! Kanye West said it best 'look at his Peacoat, tell me he's broke'!

Resolution 2010

My first priority is probably going to be finding a girlfriend (finally!!!). My next priority is going to stop being so 'uppidy' or as one of my co-workers so harshly put it, 'stop being classist'. Finally, It's time to start thinking more about my future, which includes my health, wealth, and career. These all seem possible and logical to accomplish, but I doubt I stick to any of them. A girlfriend takes too much time, and I'm stubborn, arrogant, and picky. I probably want stop being 'Classist' or 'uppidy' any time soon, both are traits of my persona. Thinking about the future seems to take away my now. Every year, people make the same pointless resolutions just to break them by March 1. This year, my real resolution is going to be accept myself just the way I am, and let change happen naturally!

Everything I don't know about relationships pt.1

I love women! They come in many different colors, shapes, and sizes. I love the way they smell, the way they think, the way they walk, the way they talk. I love their hips, thighs and hips. I love their hands, and their hair, their eyes and their legs, even their finger and their toes. I love the way they smile and the way they cry. I just love women. But it is really hard to think that way about females after two failed relationship attempts and one long term relationship being called off(okay, I’ll admit it, I was dumped) after about 5 years of seeing each other(yes, nearly 5 years down the drain). No, this is not a blog about me discussing how perfect I am (because I’m every woman’s type) or discussing how all the ladies who passed me up were missing out on a good thing (because they were).

So I really know nothing about the perfect relationship. If you come to me, asking what should you do about him or her, it’s a good chance you’re getting the response “Pray about it” or ”I really don’t care”. I have learned to accept that relationships are not perfect; I don’t think that they’re supposed to be (Especially not mine).

The first real relationship I was in lasted nearly 4 years (yes!!! that is a lot). It started before my 9th grade year, so I was really young (and if you think I’m full of myself now, you should have known me then). The girl and I were really good friends first; actually we were best friends. One day we just decided to hook up (thank god for alcohol!) and decided to date. Those 4 years weren’t perfect, but mainly because I screwed up a few times (that’s a blog for another time). I think we broke up about 5 times throughout our relationship. The final time we broke u was when I was at The University of Michigan. Till this day, I’m still not quite sure why. At first it bothered me because I just wasn’t throwing away a relationship but a very good friendship. Like always, I got over it and kept it pushing. Then I met her!
